INTRODUCTION

A proper introduction to The Girl's Own Paper has thankfully already been written. Though I no longer subscribe, I have obtained a copy of the Annual presented to Mrs. Rebecca Hunter in the Primitive Methodist Chapel's Distribution of Prizes of the Adult Bible Class on the 16th of October, 1894.

Here is an online index of the G.O.P., compiled by Honor Ward no less. So far as I am aware no one has attempted to transcribe all the material which appeared in this venerable publication, published 1880-1941. Nor shall I. That doesn't mean a few selected articles can't once again see the light of day.
