Oh we, whose sites get no comments not spam;
who have won no blogging awards
nor ever been considered for any;
who toil quietly alone at the WordPress,
or Blogger, or whatever floats our boat;
who clock in when compelled;
who have nothing to offer but ourselves
and block quotes as necessary;
who link and may yet become linked
by strangers not scratching our back;
who photoshop for fun rather than profit
or go googling for exactly the right pic;
who contemplate the static ruins of other blogs
that have come before and will come after;
who keep on keeping on
mining the data stream from our head
refining then putting it out there
the newer to become older.
Oh we, whose archives are open to all
but of interest to none;
we welcome the opportunity
to blog till the blogging is done.
